Start with the
right questions.
Does solar PV automatically provide backup during a power cut?+
Not necessarily. Backup operation depends on the inverter, storage and electrical configuration. Discuss critical loads and the required outage runtime as part of the system design.
How is a solar-and-storage system sized?+
The starting points are energy use, the timing and size of loads, available installation space and the loads that must remain powered. Battery power and usable energy capacity serve different roles and should both be considered.
Can solar work alongside existing backup equipment?+
Integration may be possible, depending on equipment compatibility and the site configuration. Share the details of your current UPS, batteries, inverter and generator so the interfaces can be assessed.
What should I prepare for an enquiry?+
Recent electricity bills, operating hours, site location, roof or ground-space information and a list of critical loads. Include any existing solar or backup equipment.
