01

See the condition of connected sites

A central view helps teams identify an alarm at an unattended equipment room or remote branch. The useful information includes where the event occurred, which asset is affected and whether it is on battery, bypass or another relevant operating state.

Verify the data available from each device. An estimated runtime, state-of-charge value and battery health indicator are different measurements, and not every UPS exposes all three.

02

Interpret trends in context

An increasing load can reduce headroom and autonomy. Repeated mains events may explain battery cycling, while temperature trends can point to changing environmental conditions. Correlating records is more informative than looking at one alarm in isolation.

Estimates are not substitutes for the appropriate physical inspection or capacity test. A communications failure may also mean that the dashboard is missing data rather than that the equipment is healthy.

03

Give every alert an owner

Agree which events create an email, which require immediate escalation and who acts outside normal working hours. Keep contact details current and document what happens when the first person cannot be reached.

Consider the communications path during an outage. Monitoring requires a working connection and compatible integration; those dependencies should be included in the continuity design and tested with the response workflow.

04

Connect the Powermode portal to support

The Powermode Monitoring Portal offers a map-based overview of connected standby-power environments, email notifications and reporting across supported UPS, generator and solar systems.

For a national estate, agree asset naming, site contacts, reporting and SLA escalation consistently. The objective is to shorten the gap between an event and an informed action, while planned service visits address risks that remote data cannot reveal.

Planning guidance, not an installation specification. Final sizing, compatibility and safe work procedures require a site-specific assessment and the relevant manufacturer's instructions.
